Introduction

The Herelink is a long-range HD Digital Video Transmission System, which combines video, data transmission, and radio control, so it is an all-in-one solution. This 2.4GHz radio controller with the built-in screen allows users to get long range HD video, telemetry, and control link up to a whopping 20km. It uses the 2.4GHz band on LTE over WIFI, and this allows maximum transmission distance. They are purported to have a range of 20km in FCC and 12km in CE.
The large 5.5" screen displays a multitude of control options such as live images, autopilot configuration through the native QGround control or other GCS applications based on the Mavlink system.
The Air Unit is using input power between 5-12V and has a single UART for connection to the flight controller or other Mavlink accessories. Both the Air Unit and the Radio Controller are equipped with powerful Pinecone S1 processors with four cores at 2.2GHz and four more additional cores at 1.4GHz, and this allows for tons of possibilities for app usage and future development.

Important Notes
1. If you connected a GoPro 6 Black and disconnect it before video is connected to the air unit,
the hot swap may result in no video output from GoPro. It is suggested to restart your GoPro or
place the GoPro upside down to have the image back.
2. Air unit power input: 5V-12.6V max (3s Lipo supported). Any power range above that will burn
the device.
3. The temperature will rise when the air unit is connected with the controller. Temperature of
the air unit can be checked on the controller side, and should be lower than 70 degrees. (If
temperature rose over 70 degrees, installing a fan should be considered.)
4. Any system level changes should be completed before the aircraft takes offff. System changes
should be avoided during the flflight, to ensure a safe flflight experience.
 
FAQs
1. Why aren't the LEDs lit, even though the air unit are properly correctly connected?
Check the power input. It should be 5V-12.6V max (3s Lipo supported) and battery should have
been charged.
2. Why can't connect to 2.4GHz WIFI?
Currently, Herelink only enables 5.8GHz WIFI for internet connection. Therefore, to load maps,
you will need to connect to a 5.8GHz WIFI network.
3. Why is there no signal when the S.bus cable has been securely connected to flflight controller
and the air unit?
Please check if the S.bus cable connect to S.bus 1 on the air unit. Or check whether joysticks have
been properly calibrated on the controller.
4. Camera connected but no video is displaying.
Please confifirm whether the camera supports 720p 30fps or 1080p 30/60fps. If yes, please
check whether the output video format setting is correct.
